Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's kids - was born at Woodland Hills in 1956. Her father taught school and her mom was a domestic worker. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her older brothers. McCormick began singing and dancing in her early years and frequently performed plays with puppets for the children from her neighborhood. In the year she turned 6years old, she won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest. Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency then called her to ask whether the actress was looking to pursue a career in showbusiness. McCormick was offered her first gig as an actress major in 1964. She starred in an ad campaign for Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. Later that year she did another commercial with the company's Chatty Cathy doll and was soon cast in the play the play Wind It Up And It Breaks at the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick, which was chosen out of 1500 auditioned children, was cast as the third of three head-to-head daughters in The Brady Bunch (1969), starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick in her memoir Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady And Finding My True Voice Published In 2008 McCormick disclosed that during the 5th season of the show, she nearly lost her virginity with her brother Barry Williams. He was 19 years old. She was just 16. It would have happened she stated, but the time wasn't right for us.
